February 22, 2022, the first United States Pluto Return will be exact as Pluto returns to 27 degrees of Capricorn.

Pluto represents death, rebirth and transformation. Pluto takes 248 years to orbit around the Sun. Because Pluto moves very slowly and retrogrades once a year for 6 months, a Pluto Return is a long lasting transit. This is a process that will last a least at least a few years.

When Pluto returns back to its original placement of when a country was founded, the country undergoes a phase of profound change. Once these changes happen— there is no going back to the way things once were.

We can look throughout history to gain an understanding of what exactly might happen during a Pluto Return.

England has lived through 3 Pluto Returns. The first from 1311-1315 brought environmental issues which led to “The Great Famine”. This caused social unrest and the death of millions. Scotland separated from England.

England experienced its 2nd Pluto Return from 1555-1562, when there was mass persecution of Protestants, known as the Reign of Bloody Mary. Queen Mary ordered hundreds of Protestants to be burned at the stake.

In the Early 1800s during England’s 3rd Pluto Return, The United Kingdom was formally created.

During France and Russia’s most recent Pluto Returns, we saw the death of Dictators, Stalin and Napoleon.

So what does it mean for the United States? This Pluto Return will take place in the 2nd house of the United States’ chart. The second house rules over values, resources, possessions and finances, bringing a focus to the stock market, real estate, monetary system, import/export, farmland, etc.

Venus will be alongside Pluto in Capricorn as it makes its return to 27 degrees, bringing a much needed softness as we are engulfed in Pluto’s wrath. There may also be a focus on a prominent woman figure in our society. Ruled by Saturn, Capricorn represents our structures, foundations, and limitations so we can expect to see a shift or perhaps a fall of governing bodies, institutions and corporations. Let’s not forget— The United States itself is a corporation. Many will fall though many will rise.

We can predict areas of the United States that will significantly change, but because Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus are still in a tight square at this time, the only thing we can expect is the unexpected.

Doesn’t that sound like that old vision of “The American Dream”? That’s the divine order of what’s meant to be. But in order for that to be birthed, there must be a death of everything that stands in the way. Pluto is clearing the way for our ascent as a country. Destruction for creation.
